MOJH Boys Basketball Team

A big thank you to all of the boys that came out for the MOJH Boys Basketball Team this year!  It takes a lot of courage to tryout for something and we appreciate the time and effort every athlete put forth.  The following boys have made the final team and should report to our first practice tomorrow from 3:20-5:20 PM:

Basketball picks up another win

Mount Ogden Boys Basketball picked up two nice wins last night against Highland Junior High.

The Rams were led by Conrad Moore with 9 points and George Blodgett with 8 points. The final score was Mount Ogden 47 Highland 34. We have our final game of the season on Wednesday January 8th at home against Venture. Go Rams!

Boys Basketball Beats Mound Fort

The Rams played a great game against Mound Fort last night. We were able to get lots of pressure and create many turnovers in the first half. Lucas Heiner led the team with 11 points and Corbin Hall and Zack Richards both added 10 points. The varsity won by a score of 68-39. The JV team also picked up a win against the Bears by a score of 26-15. Will Minkevitch, Brayden Wilson, and Kelvin Steward led the scoring with 6 points each.

Boys Basketball Picks Up Win vs UMA

Mount Ogden Boys Basketball picked up their first Varsity win last night against Utah Military Academy. Lincoln Barnes led the team with 17 points and Zack Richards added 7 in this physical matchup. The final score was Mount Ogden 40 UMA 27. The JV improved their record to 2-0 with a win over UMA as well.

Boys Basketball Falls to HighMark

Mount Ogden lost a hard fought game last night. We missed a few shots in the first half and found ourselves down by quite a bit. The boys fought hard in the second half and got the game within 6 points in the fourth quarter. Corbin Hall and Lucas Heiner led the rams with 8 points each. The final score was HighMark 47 Mount Ogden 36

Our boys will play their first game on Tuesday, November 5th, at Highmark at 4:30pm, and their first home game will be on Thursday, November 7th, at 4:15pm.  Come out and support the team!

Boys Basketball Will Play for Championship!

Mount Ogden Boys finished the regular season with a win against Quest Academy. Weston Moore led the team with 18 points and Matthew Duke added 16. At the end of the game we were able to get a few JV boys in the game and both George Blodgett and Tommy Stark hit several free throws. These boys have battled all year long to achieve a record of 13-1. We will play in the championship game Friday January 18th at Mount Ogden. Tip off is at 3:30.

Boys Basketball Beats Syracuse Arts Academy

Mount Ogden Boys Basketball picked up their biggest win of the season last night! They handed Syracuse Arts their first loss of the year with a score of 39-36. After the rams were down by six at halftime they brought intensity and hit some big shots down the stretch to end up picking up the win. Matthew Duke led the team in scoring with 8 points while Jack Blodgett and Daniel Knowles both added 6 points. The J.V. squad also picked up a close win by three points.
